Questions clients ask

What is the difference between the three levels?

All three use the same review method. Essential gives you the findings and leaves the corrections to you. Standard adds a formal report and checks your corrections once. Comprehensive adds a second check, wider coverage, and support until you are ready for the program operator or for publication.

Is the EPD audit the same as program operator verification?

No. It is an independent pre-submission audit. It does not replace third-party verification under the program operator; it prepares your EPD so verification goes faster, with fewer queries and revision rounds.

When do we need a panel critical review instead of a single expert?

ISO 14044 requires a panel of at least three experts when LCA results support a comparative assertion disclosed to the public. We can coordinate a panel; it is quoted separately.

Do you prepare the EPD or the LCA for us?

No. To preserve independence, DEISO does not prepare the Environmental Product Declaration or the underlying Life Cycle Assessment subject to review. We tell you exactly what to correct and why.

What do you need from us to start?

The EPD draft or LCA report, the background report, the LCA model or calculation workbook, the PCR used, and a contact person for questions. Turnaround starts when the complete files are received.

Can we move up a level later?

Yes. If you start with Essential and later need a re-review or a written report, the fee you paid is credited toward Standard or Comprehensive.

Fees in USD, excluding taxes and travel. Final scope and fee are confirmed in a written quotation.

Environmental Product Declarations are increasingly required for procurement qualification, green building certification, and industrial supplier qualification.

If your organization has prepared an EPD supported by a Life Cycle Assessment study, DEISO provides independent technical pre-submission EPD audit and LCA critical review to strengthen conformity, methodological integrity, and disclosure credibility before submission to an authorized program operator.

To preserve independence, DEISO does not act as an EPD program operator or formal third-party verifier. Our role is limited to independent technical audit and review before submission for official verification.
