DEISO Announces DEISO LCC Pro: A New Professional LCC/LCCA Software

Product announcement

DEISO announces DEISO LCC Pro, new professional software for LCC and LCCA

A desktop application for life cycle costing, total cost of ownership, procurement evaluation, and lifecycle decision support — now in advanced development.

DEISO LLC has announced DEISO LCC Pro, professional software for LCC and LCCA. The application is in advanced development, with the study modelling environment, canonical unit system, validation architecture, import and export framework, industry profiles, and a full professional Learning Centre already established.

Details of every capability, the complete edition comparison, and the development roadmap are on the DEISO LCC Pro product page.

Development status

DEISO LCC Pro is not yet commercially released. The deterministic financial calculation engine and several enterprise capabilities remain on the published roadmap toward commercial release.

Why now

The gap this software was built to close

Lifecycle-cost work sits in an awkward place. At one end are spreadsheets, which every practitioner starts with and which break down the moment a study needs supplier comparison, evidence trails, assumption tracking, or review by someone who did not build it. At the other end are heavyweight simulation platforms that demand a full process or engineering model before any lifecycle economics can be examined at all.

Most cost decisions do not need a simulation. They need a study that can be built quickly, checked properly, and defended months later.

DEISO LCC Pro occupies that middle ground: rigorous enough for serious engineering and procurement analysis, without requiring the practitioner to become a simulation specialist first.

Where development stands

What is already built

The announcement follows a substantial development phase. The following are established in the current build rather than planned:

  • Study Builder and modelling environment — structured studies covering assets, costs, suppliers, alternatives, assumptions, and evidence, with spreadsheet-style editing
  • Visual Model — the study’s structure made visible and kept synchronized with the underlying records
  • Canonical unit system — measurement semantics treated as part of the model rather than free text
  • Import and export architecture — Excel, CSV, and clipboard, with whole-study imports committed as one transaction or refused
  • Validation Centre — model weaknesses surfaced before they reach a calculation or a decision
  • Learning Centre — a full professional curriculum inside the application
  • Thirteen industry profiles — governing vocabulary, categories, validation rules, and defaults per sector

Each is described in full on the product page.

What comes next

The roadmap to commercial release

The largest remaining item is the deterministic financial calculation engine — lifecycle cash flows, discounting, escalation, replacements, residual value, NPV and NPC, EAC and EUAC, IRR, payback, sensitivity, and risk. Procurement and decision workflows, professional reporting, Teach Me calculation traces, and controlled AI assistance follow.

One architectural principle stays fixed: authoritative calculations remain deterministic.

AI assists the practitioner. It does not become the mathematical source of truth.

Editions

Three editions, one of them free

DEISO LCC Pro will ship as a single application with three editions controlled by entitlement rather than separate builds.

Basic — free

A free edition covering one study, one industry profile alongside General, and the full Learning Centre — enough to judge whether the modelling environment fits how a team works.

Professional and Enterprise

Paid editions adding unlimited studies, all industry profiles, full import and export, and — at Enterprise — the Visual Model, scenarios, audit trail, and Teach Me calculation traces.

The full comparison, capability by capability, is on the product page.

Next step

Priority access is open

Organizations and professionals can register now for development updates, edition availability, and commercial launch information.
