DEISO develops its own data. The DEISO GHG Database turns public emission factors into a structured, Scope-by-category library that DEISO uses in its projects and training: one activity, one Scope and category, traceable to its source.

What is the DEISO GHG Database?
The DEISO GHG Database is an emission-factor database developed by DEISO for corporate greenhouse gas inventories under the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and Scope 3 Standard. It holds 3,871 emission factors across Scope 1, Scope 2 and all 15 Scope 3 categories, organised so that every activity reports in its own Scope and category.
Who developed the DEISO GHG Database?
DEISO LLC developed and maintains the DEISO GHG Database. DEISO built the data pipeline, the Scope and category structure, the DEISO GWP characterisation method, the case studies and the templates, using public emission-factor sources that keep their own licences and attribution.

It uses the UK DESNZ greenhouse gas reporting conversion factors 2026, the US EPA Supply Chain GHG Emission Factors v1.3 and Ember country grid data, plus a small set of direct-emission processes built by DEISO. Each source keeps its own licence, and the attribution lines appear with the data.
How does it handle the 15 Scope 3 categories?
Every activity sits in the folder of the Scope 3 category it reports, from C1 purchased goods and services to C15 investments. When the same factor applies in several categories, such as grid electricity in leased assets and franchises, the database offers it in each category so results report category by category.

The database includes 29 worked case studies, grouped from Scope 1 only, Scope 2 only and Scope 1 and 2 to one case per Scope 3 category and five full Scope 1, 2 and 3 inventories. Five templates provide empty starting models with example activities at zero, ready for an organisation's own data.
