Face \u00e0 une demande en eau croissante sous l\u2019effet de la croissance d\u00e9mographique, de l\u2019industrialisation et de l\u2019irrigation, il est crucial de comprendre quelle quantit\u00e9 d\u2019eau est utilis\u00e9e et d\u2019o\u00f9 elle provient. La quantit\u00e9 d\u2019eau n\u00e9cessaire \u00e0 la production d\u2019un bien ou d\u2019un service est mesur\u00e9e par l\u201c\u201d empreinte eau \u00bb. Celle-ci comprend l\u2019empreinte eau verte, l\u2019empreinte eau bleue et l\u2019empreinte eau grise. Cet article pr\u00e9sente l\u2019empreinte eau, ses composantes, les normes qui l\u2019encadrent et son r\u00f4le dans la compr\u00e9hension des enjeux li\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019eau.\r\n          <\/p>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n      <\/div>\r\n\r\n      <div class=\"block-section\">\r\n        <h2>Qu\u2019est-ce que l\u201c\u201d empreinte eau \u00bb\u00a0?<\/h2>\r\n        <p>\r\n          L\u2019empreinte eau quantifie la quantit\u00e9 d\u2019eau n\u00e9cessaire pour fournir un produit ou un service. Elle estime la quantit\u00e9 d\u2019eau utilis\u00e9e par une personne, une organisation ou une r\u00e9gion donn\u00e9e. Elle comprend l\u2019empreinte eau verte, l\u2019empreinte eau bleue et l\u2019empreinte eau grise.\r\n        <\/p>\r\n\r\n        <h3>Empreinte eau verte<\/h3>\r\n        <p>\r\n          L\u201c\u201d empreinte eau verte \u00bb correspond \u00e0 la quantit\u00e9 d\u2019eau de pluie utilis\u00e9e pour l\u2019irrigation et la production agricoles. Elle s\u2019exprime en m\u00e8tres cubes par an et en m\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s. L\u2019eau verte constituant la principale source d\u2019eau pour l\u2019agriculture, elle repr\u00e9sente la composante la plus importante de l\u2019empreinte eau. Comme cette eau s\u2019\u00e9vapore du sol ou des v\u00e9g\u00e9taux et n\u2019est pas visible, elle est \u00e9galement la moins perceptible.\r\n        <\/p>\r\n\r\n        <h3>Empreinte eau bleue<\/h3>\r\n        <p>\r\n          L\u201c\u201d empreinte eau bleue \u00bb correspond \u00e0 la quantit\u00e9 d\u2019eau de surface et d\u2019eau souterraine n\u00e9cessaire \u00e0 la production. Elle s\u2019exprime en m\u00e8tres cubes par an et en m\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s. Elle englobe les eaux souterraines, les aquif\u00e8res et les eaux de surface telles que les rivi\u00e8res, les cours d\u2019eau et les lacs. L\u2019eau bleue est importante, car c\u2019est celle que les populations et les entreprises utilisent le plus fr\u00e9quemment.\r\n        <\/p>\r\n\r\n        <h3>Empreinte eau grise<\/h3>\r\n        <p>\r\n          L\u2019empreinte eau grise correspond \u00e0 la quantit\u00e9 d\u2019eau contamin\u00e9e rejet\u00e9e par les activit\u00e9s de fabrication. Elle inclut l\u2019eau pollu\u00e9e par des substances chimiques ou d\u2019autres contaminants industriels. Cette composante de l\u2019empreinte eau est la plus visible, car cette eau est pr\u00e9sente dans l\u2019environnement.\r\n        <\/p>\r\n      <\/div>\r\n\r\n      <div class=\"block-section\">\r\n        <h2>Les normes applicables \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9valuation de l\u2019empreinte eau<\/h2>\r\n        <p>\r\n          Le mod\u00e8le vert, bleu et gris pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 ci-dessus correspond \u00e0 l\u2019approche volum\u00e9trique popularis\u00e9e par le Water Footprint Network. Utile et largement cit\u00e9e, cette approche ne correspond toutefois pas \u00e0 la norme internationale. Lorsqu\u2019une empreinte eau est destin\u00e9e \u00e0 la communication externe, aux achats ou au reporting, elle doit \u00eatre r\u00e9alis\u00e9e conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 <strong>ISO 14046<\/strong>.\r\n        <\/p>\r\n\r\n        <h3>ISO 14046 \u2014 principes, exigences et lignes directrices relatifs \u00e0 l\u2019empreinte eau<\/h3>\r\n        <p>\r\n          La norme ISO 14046 d\u00e9finit les exigences applicables \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9valuation de l\u2019empreinte eau des produits, des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s et des organisations. Sa caract\u00e9ristique essentielle est qu\u2019une empreinte eau \u00e9tablie selon cette norme est <strong>fond\u00e9e sur les impacts, et non purement volum\u00e9trique<\/strong>\u00a0: l\u2019utilisation de l\u2019eau est caract\u00e9ris\u00e9e au regard des conditions locales, plut\u00f4t que simplement additionn\u00e9e en m\u00e8tres cubes.
