El total se compone de la huella h\u00eddrica verde, la huella h\u00eddrica azul y la huella h\u00eddrica gris. Este art\u00edculo abordar\u00e1 la huella h\u00eddrica, sus elementos, las normas que la regulan y su importancia para comprender la problem\u00e1tica del agua.\r\n          <\/p>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n      <\/div>\r\n\r\n      <div class=\"block-section\">\r\n        <h2>\u00bfQu\u00e9 significa \u201chuella h\u00eddrica\u201d?<\/h2>\r\n        <p>\r\n          La huella h\u00eddrica cuantifica la cantidad de agua necesaria para proporcionar un producto o servicio. Estima cu\u00e1nta agua utiliza una persona, organizaci\u00f3n o regi\u00f3n determinada. Esta suma incluye la huella h\u00eddrica verde, la huella h\u00eddrica azul y la huella h\u00eddrica gris.\r\n        <\/p>\r\n\r\n        <h3>Huella h\u00eddrica verde<\/h3>\r\n        <p>\r\n          La cantidad de agua de lluvia utilizada para el riego y la producci\u00f3n de cultivos se conoce como \u201chuella h\u00eddrica verde\u201d. Se expresa en metros c\u00fabicos por a\u00f1o y metros cuadrados. El agua azul es significativa porque es la que utilizan con mayor frecuencia las personas y las empresas.\r\n        <\/p>\r\n\r\n        <h3>Huella h\u00eddrica gris<\/h3>\r\n        <p>\r\n          La cantidad de agua contaminada liberada por la fabricaci\u00f3n se conoce como huella h\u00eddrica gris. Incluye el agua contaminada por sustancias qu\u00edmicas u otros contaminantes industriales. Dado que esta agua es visible en el entorno, esta parte de la huella h\u00eddrica es la m\u00e1s evidente.\r\n        <\/p>\r\n      <\/div>\r\n\r\n      <div class=\"block-section\">\r\n        <h2>Normas para la evaluaci\u00f3n de la huella h\u00eddrica<\/h2>\r\n        <p>\r\n          El modelo verde, azul y gris anterior es el enfoque volum\u00e9trico popularizado por la Water Footprint Network. Es \u00fatil y se cita ampliamente, pero no equivale a la norma internacional. Cuando una huella h\u00eddrica est\u00e1 destinada a la comunicaci\u00f3n externa, la contrataci\u00f3n o la divulgaci\u00f3n, debe elaborarse conforme a <strong>ISO 14046<\/strong>.\r\n        <\/p>\r\n\r\n        <h3>ISO 14046 \u2014 principios, requisitos y directrices para la huella h\u00eddrica<\/h3>\r\n        <p>\r\n          ISO 14046 establece los requisitos para la evaluaci\u00f3n de la huella h\u00eddrica de productos, procesos y organizaciones. Su caracter\u00edstica definitoria es que una huella h\u00eddrica conforme a esta norma se basa en <strong>impactos, no solo en vol\u00famenes<\/strong>: el uso del agua se caracteriza seg\u00fan las condiciones locales, en lugar de limitarse a sumar metros c\u00fabicos. Mide el volumen de agua utilizado o contaminado durante la creaci\u00f3n y el consumo de un bien o servicio. La huella h\u00eddrica puede identificar \u00e1reas en las que los recursos h\u00eddricos se utilizan de forma ineficiente o en las que hay margen de mejora.\r\n          <\/p>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n\r\n        <h3>El primer paso<\/h3>\r\n        <p>\r\n          El primer paso para determinar una huella h\u00eddrica es identificar las numerosas fuentes de agua utilizadas en la creaci\u00f3n, fabricaci\u00f3n y consumo de un bien, proceso o servicio, tanto directas como indirectas. Las fuentes directas incluyen l\u00edquidos utilizados para la limpieza, la refrigeraci\u00f3n y el riego. El agua empleada para generar energ\u00eda o proporcionar insumos para la producci\u00f3n es un ejemplo de fuente indirecta. Seg\u00fan ISO 14046, este paso consiste en definir el objetivo y el alcance, y debe establecer los l\u00edmites del sistema, la unidad funcional y la cobertura geogr\u00e1fica y temporal de los datos antes de recopilar cifras.\r\n        <\/p>\r\n\r\n        <h3>El siguiente paso<\/h3>\r\n        <p>\r\n          Una vez identificadas esas fuentes, puede estimarse el agua utilizada. Para ello pueden emplearse diversas t\u00e9cnicas, incluidos el Est\u00e1ndar Global de Huella H\u00eddrica y la Calculadora de Huella H\u00eddrica de Water Footprint Network. Estas t\u00e9cnicas tienen en cuenta variables como el color del agua (azul, verde o gris), la cantidad y el tipo de actividad.
